Henkel Granodine 952

Henkel’s Granodine 952 is a spray-applied process to create a dense tricationic phosphate coating on most metals including galvanised steels, zinc alloy coated steel, and aluminium. Coatings produced by Granodine 952 are very fine-grained and demonstrate excellent morphology.

The Granodine 952 process is often employed as a spray pre-treatment before the deposition of a cathodic electrocoat. This treatment is highly effective for all types of organic coatings, and the surfaces created have high inherent resistance to alkaline attack when compared to conventional zinc phosphating processes.

The Granodine 952 process takes just 90 to 150 seconds at a temperature of 50-55C. Sprayed Ridoline knock-off and alkaline cleaners typically start the process, followed by rinsing in water and Fixodine activating rinse. The Granodine 952 application proceeds, followed by two water rinses and a Deoxylyte rinse. Demineralised water may then be used for an optional final rinse.

The Granodine 952 process is compatible with automatic control equipment.
