Henkel’s Neutrasel 5225 is a powerful detergent cleaner for use on metals of all types, and is especially good at removing particulate soiling. It leaves a clean stain-free film, unlike the deposits left by some caustic alkaline products, and also imparts corrosion inhibition properties.
This is a cold neutral cleaner, but is effective throughout a wide range of temperatures from 20-80C. It can be used in both hard and soft waters without foaming. Containing no nitrites, Neutrasel 5225 is suitable for all metals including zinc and zinc plate, where it will not leave white spots behind.
The clean corrosion-inhibited surface created does not conflict with inspection or gauging before assembly. Neutrasel 5225 is therefore especially useful for cleaning machined parts between operations or for final cleaning of components.
It is non-emulsifying, meaning that oil and grease can be skimmed from the tank to extend product life and improve economy. For steel and non-ferrous metals, Neutrasel 5225 is diluted to just 1-2% strength, while for cast iron a dilution to 3% is more effective.
In most applications a component cleaned with Neutrasel 5225 does not require rinsing, making it suitable for use in single-stage machine washing. The product is not corrosive but is strongly detergent.
