Ridoline 507 is a high-performance non-etching liquid cleaner for the removal of oil from aluminium and aluminium alloys. It provides effective cleaning without damaging the surface of the metal, and can be applied by spray or agitated immersion. The special formulation of Ridoline 507 minimises the formation of scale on heating surface or tank walls.
Ridoline 507 is typically applied at 4% concentration and at temperatures over 50C, particularly for spray applications where foaming may occur at lower temperatures.
Process tanks, pipework, and pumps used in connection with Ridoline 507 solution may be made of mild steel, but heated surfaces such as plates on heat exchangers should be fabricated of polished 316 stainless steel. The solution is mildly alkaline and contains amines, and so valve seats, pump seals, and other elastomers in contact with the solution should be of an appropriate material such as Viton, Hypalon, or Buna-N. EPDM elastomers are not suitable for exposure to this product.
