Henkel SUNCORITE 215

Henkel Suncorite 215 is a hard, self phosphating protective liquid coating for metals. It provides both an iron phosphate conversion coating and a thin hard resistant paint coating of tough adhesion.

Suncorite 215 is used for the dry film protective coating of friction surfaces, such as brake discs, drums and clutch faces – these highly finished surfaces are extremely susceptible to corrosion when stored for any length of time. The coating is not removed before assembly to vehicles – the first application of the brakes or clutch will completely remove it, without causing any snatching or juddering.

For components which may be painted in the future, Suncorite 215, is also ideal as a thin film protection, especially in the case of ferrous items where months of storage is necessary, before final assembly/over painting. This liquid coating will provide the necessary protection and will not interfere with machining, in comparison to conventional paint, which melts and will block cutting tools/grinding wheels.

Henkel’s Suncorite 215 is available in a variety of colours (most basic colours can be manufactured), as well as a translucent option. The minimum batch size is 500 litres for the coloured products.

Drying time 15 to 30 minutes at room temperature, however force drying will accelerate this.
