Hubbard-Hall’s Black Magic RT-A3 is a liquid concentrate, diluted with water, designed to blacken a wide range of aluminium at room temperature. Typical applications include black body heat absorption, cameras and optics (non-reflection) and lighting units.
Black Magic RT-A3 provides a durable, decorative black finish. The room temperature blackening process offers energy savings and convenience over hot black oxide. The liquid concentrate is diluted to 25% by volume with water by slowly adding it to the water, while stirring, to avoid splattering and splashing. The diluted solution requires immersion times of 30 seconds to 2 minutes, and plastic tanks, tumbling barrels, racks, hooks or baskets can be used.
