Hubbard-Hall’s Metal Guard 700 is a low odour, biodegradable, water-based emulsion for rust protection. It is an extremely dry thin film, ideal for long-term temporary/in process corrosion protection after black oxide, after zinc or manganese phosphate, or on bare steel. Approximate film thickness is less than 13µm.
As Metal Guard 700 is a water emulsion, parts can be processed without pre-drying, and will air-dry in a short time (force drying, of course, will shorten this period). Should reprocessing be necessary, the coating can be removed in a hot alkaline cleaner or vapour degreaser. Metal Guard 700 is normally used as received, but may be diluted with water in special applications.
