Removes Mineral Oils, Synthetic Oils, Rust Inhibitors, Lubricating Oils, Particulate Matter, Water-Soluble Oils, Coolants, Greases, Fingerprint Oils and Dust
AXAREL 1000 is part of Petroferm’s range of MIL-PRF-680B solvents, created to replace P-D-680 solvents, alcohols, ketones, and other cleaners with high environmental, worker health and safety impact. AXAREL 1000 is a MIL-PRF-680B Type I approved degreasing solvent cleaner designed for hand-wiping and immersion applications. It is also suitable for use in airless vacuum hydrocarbon equipment.
We can recommend AXAREL 1000 when a low odour solvent with fast drying characteristics is required. The formulation offers broad-based solvency and low toxicity. It will remove a wide range of soils such as greases, mineral oils, lubricants, coolants, synthetics, and particulate matter, and is safe for use with ferrous and non-ferrous alloys such as aluminum, copper and copper alloys, magnesium, nickel, steel, stainless steel, titanium and zinc. It is also compatible with many polymeric substrates and elastomers.
AXAREL 1000 may be a suitable replacement for isopropyl alcohol (IPA), acetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and other low flash point, flammable solvents. It can also be an effective alternative to halogenated solvents and caustic cleaners.
The high-purity solvent is designed to leave substrates with very low surface residue and low non-volatile residue (NVR). It offers zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP).
AXAREL 1000 can be applied at full concentration to the desired substrate by brush, pad or cloth, or with Immersion Cleaning at full concentration to the wash tank reservoir. The use of ultrasonics or heat is not recommended. It can also be used with Vacuum Equipment by adding it at full concentration to the wash chamber.
