AXAREL 2000 is part of Petroferm’s range of MIL-PRF-680B solvents, created to replace P-D-680 solvents, alcohols, ketones, and other cleaners with high environmental, worker health and safety impact. AXAREL 2000 is a MIL-PRF-680B Type II approved degreasing solvent characterised by high solvency and moderate dry times. It designed for hand-wiping and immersion applications, or for use in airless vacuum hydrocarbon equipment.
We can recommend AXAREL 2000 when a low odour, non- flammable solvent with exceptional drying characteristics is required. It offers broad-based solvency and low toxicity, and should remove a wide range of soils such as greases, mineral oils, lubricants, coolants, synthetics, and particulate matter. It is safe for use with ferrous and non-ferrous alloys such as aluminum, copper and copper alloys, magnesium, nickel, steel, stainless steel, titanium and zinc. It is also compatible with many polymeric substrates and elastomers.
AXAREL 2000 is a high-purity solvent, designed to leave substrates with very low surface residue and low non-volatile residue (NVR). It can be a direct replacement for acetone, isopropyl alcohol (IPA), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), toluene and other low-flash point, flammable materials, and can also be an effective alternative to halogenated solvents and caustic cleaners.
AXAREL 2000 can be applied at full concentration by brush, pad or cloth. It is also compatible with Immersion Cleaning and Vacuum Equipment, at full concentration.
