Axarel 2200 is a fast-drying solvent which is formulated to clean uncured Surface Mount Device (SMD) adhesive and solder paste from electronics stencils and misprinted circuits. Suitable for both hand-wipe and immersion use, it is an environmentally-friendlier alternative to isopropyl alcohol and other damaging substances and provides excellent compatibility with all commonly-used substrates.
Axarel 2200 is based on a combination of refined polar and non-polar solvents to provide good soil loading and low residue. In addition to being a replacement for isopropyl alcohol (IPA), it is also used to remove white residues which this solvent sometimes leaves behind after defluxing operations.
This versatile solvent is effective against water-soluble, rosin and no-clean solder paste and flux residues and also tape residues. As well as IPA, it is an effective replacement for d-limonene, hydrocarbons, HFEs, HFCs, and some HCFCs. Axarel 2200 has very low environmental impact, with low global warming and zero ozone depletion potential. Its components are approved under the US EPA SNAP programme and it is not regulated under RCRA, SARA, or NESHAPs regulations.
