AXAREL 3000 is part of Petroferm’s range of MIL-PRF-680B solvents, created to replace P-D-680 solvents, alcohols, ketones, and other cleaners with high environmental, worker health and safety impact. AXAREL 3000 is a MIL-PRF-680B Type III approved degreasing solvent selected for its high flash point (96C) and its corrosion inhibition. It designed for hand-wiping or immersion cleaning.
We can recommend AXAREL 3000 when a non-hazardous cleaner with powerful solvency, a high flash point, very low odour and low non-volatile residue (NVR) is required. It is suitable for use at elevated temperatures in variety of commercially available immersion cleaning equipment, and should remove a wide range of materials such as heavy greases, mineral oils, lubricants, coolants, synthetics, waxes and particulate matter. It is safe for use with ferrous and non-ferrous alloys such as aluminum, copper and copper alloys, magnesium, nickel, steel, stainless steel, titanium and zinc. It is also compatible with many polymeric substrates and elastomers.
AXAREL 3000 can be used as a replacement for acetone, isopropyl alcohol (IPA), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), toluene and other low-flash point, flammable materials. It may also be an effective alternative to halogenated solvents and caustic cleaners.
AXAREL 3000 can be applied at full concentration by brush, pad or cloth, or with Immersion Cleaning add it at full concentration to the wash tank reservoir at temperatures between ambient and 82C.
