AXAREL 4000 is part of Petroferm’s range of MIL-PRF-680B solvents, created to replace P-D-680 solvents, alcohols, ketones, and other cleaners with high environmental, worker health and safety impact. AXAREL 4000 is a MIL-PRF-680B Type IV approved degreasing solvent and is the most powerful of all four MIL-PRF-680B types. It designed for hand-wiping or immersion cleaning.
We can recommend AXAREL 4000 when a powerful, non- hazardous solvent with exceptional drying characteristics is required. It should remove a wide range of materials such as heavy greases, mineral oils, lubricants, coolants, synthetics and particulate matter. It is safe for use with ferrous and non-ferrous alloys such as aluminum, copper and copper alloys, magnesium, nickel, steel, stainless steel, titanium and zinc. It is also compatible with many polymeric substrates and elastomers.
AXAREL 4000 can be used as a direct replacement for acetone, isopropyl alcohol (IPA), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), toluene and other low-flash point, flammable materials. It may also be an effective alternative to halogenated solvents and caustic cleaners.
AXAREL 4000 can be applied at full concentration by brush, pad or cloth, or with Immersion Cleaning add it at full concentration to the wash tank reservoir.
