Bioact EC-88 is a low-foaming cleaner with a powerful action on solder flux residues and little impact on the environment. It utilises Petroferm’s unique AquaEdge Technology, which enhances the cleaning action of this inline defluxer through a proprietary formulation of water dilutable solvents, specialty saponifiers, and corrosion inhibitors to leave a brightened finish on solders.
Bioact EC-88 removes solder flux residues from all the leading solder paste manufacturers, including Umicore, Senju, Qualitek, Multicore, Kester, Indium, Heraeus, Alpha/Cookson, and Aim. It is also effective on fingerprints, no-clean flux residues, white residue ionic contamination, RMA flux residues and high-temperature flux residues.
Bioact EC-88 is compatible with all popular substrate materials and other components of electronics assemblies. It has a high flux loading capacity and gives a long wash bath life.
The environmental credentials of Bioact EC-88 are unimpeachable. With zero ozone depletion potential and low global warming potential, it contains no nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs) and no alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs). Its components are SNAP-approved and it is not a hazardous air pollutant (HAP).
