Bioact EC-98 employs Petroferm’s proprietary AquaEdge technology which brings a new power to traditional aqueous saponification. AquaEdge harnesses the might of semi-aqueous defluxers, combined with the cleaning strength of aqueous agents, to create a powerful ultrasonic defluxer with low foaming action and inherent corrosion protection.
Bioact EC-98 is fully compatible with most materials used in electronics assemblies including all popular substrates, and leaves cleaned assemblies with visibly brighter solder. It removes flux residues from all leading paste suppliers including Umicore, Senju, Qualitek Kester, Indium, Heraeus, Alpha/Cookson, and Aim.
Bioact EC-98 is an excellent alternative to environmentally-damaging ultrasonic cleaners. Having low VOC and zero ozone depletion potential, it is also incombustible and presents low exposure hazards. It contains no nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPE) and no alkylphenol ethoxylates (APE), is not regulated under the SARA Act, and its components are approved under the US EPA SNAP initiative.
