Petroferm CleanSafe 787C

CleanSafe 787C is a powerful aqueous cleaning agent, particularly suited to aerospace applications, which has low environmental impact and multiple regulatory approvals. It is safe for use on a very wide range of metals and is compatible with polymer substrates and elastomers.

CleanSafe 787C will remove difficult-to-shift soiling including drawing and stamping oils, synthetic lubricants, coolant, and other metalworking fluids from ferrous and nonferrous metals including aluminium (untreated, alodined or anodised), copper and its alloys, magnesium, and titanium. It is a very low-foaming cleaner which lends itself to both spray and agitated immersion cleaning processes.

CleanSafe 787C has earned widespread technical approval, being Rolls-Royce CSS204 Aqueous Cleaner (MLC104 Issue 18) and OMat 1/24AL approved as well as Boeing BAC 5763 (Type II Grade A) approved cleaner which permits its use on faying (mating) surfaces and areas of entrapment. CleanSafe 787C has also been successfully tested for compatibility covering stress corrosion of titanium, hydrogen embrittlement, and sandwich corrosion.

Its environmental credentials are equally impressive. CleanSafe 787C contains no phosphates, no nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs), and no alkyphenol ethoxylates (APEs). It has a very low level of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and zero ozone depletion and global warming potential. It is approved under the US EPA SNAP programme and by the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) as a clean air solvent.
