Hydrex DX, from Petroferm, is a highly versatile high performance aqueous cleaner for the removal of fluxes and other manufacturing and printing residues from circuit boards and electronics assemblies. It has low environmental impact and presents no significant hazard to workers.
Hydrex DX may be applied as a spray or by immersion, including ultrasonic defluxing, and with stencil cleaning equipment. Specially formulated from a proprietary mixture of alkali builders and surfactants, it has a low-foaming action and creates very little odour.
The product can be used for the removal of a wide range of contaminants, including rosins, water-soluble and no-clean flux residues from lead-free and lead-based processes. It is compatible with all major electronic substrates and other materials found in electronic cleaning systems.
With no global warming potential and no ozone depletion potential, no VOCs and hazardous air pollutant, Hydrex DX has a very low environmental impact. Its components are approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Significant New Alternatives Programme (SNAP). It is also non-flammable and non-combustible.
