Petroferm’s Lenium IPS is an environmentally-responsible yet powerful solvent cleaner and an alternative to HCFC solvents for open-top and vacuum vapour degreasers. As a high-performance rinsing agent, it is suitable for the deep cleaning of electronics components and assemblies in co-solvent vapour degreasing operations.
The extra polarity of Lenium IPS gives improved cleaning of ionic contamination, and the product leaves substrates with very low surface residues – in particular the incidence of white residue, which is sometimes seen when defluxing with IPA, is greatly reduced with Lenium IPS.
This versatile cleaning product may be employed in vapour degreasers as either a mono-solvent or, in combination with a solvating agent, a co-solvent such as Solvag ES Plus.
Lenium IPS is a constant-boiling blend of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) and alcohols, and is a recognised replacement for environment-damaging HCFC-141b, HCFC-225, and n-propyl bromide (NPB). It has no ozone depletion potential, and has been approved under the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) as a more responsible alternative to ozone damaging materials.
